Golf Clubs and Soccer Moms

The great tour in the Grandpamobil has ended, it ended in Nashville, we dropped it off at the rental car place and got on our separate planes home, I wasn't sad to see it go, by the time we got through with it we had put 8000 miles on it with no oil change, made it smell funny, squished 30 inch bass drums in its passenger area, blared Douglas Adams' books on tape and Steven Wright through its speakers, covered its grill in bugs, and littered garbage in all of its little cubby holes. We discovered that while the trunk may hold 2 sets of golf clubs, it doesn't like road cases or guitars. We have since then discovered the joys of buying vehicles from people you know, especially someone's brother, our beloved tour van has finally given up the ghost, and collected a few demons, so we have moved on to the "Tour of the Soccer Moms Getting Groceries". Ian decided to buy his brothers minivan off of him so we could have a vehicle that could actually fit us, And our gear, at the same time even. While it seemed like a good Idea, it quickly came to our attention that not only does it really need tires, brakes and oil change a hub cap, it was filled with garbage and clothes, as Ian puts it more clothes than most people own in their whole lives, but to make thing even more interesting, it's not registered, insured or inspected, or street legal, it has 1 out of state license plate, and the other one is probably on a low rider in Juarez, oh and did I mention that there is to my knowledge, no tittle that puts it in the ownership of anyone who will hopefully be in the car? So, this tour is looking up, I hope to feel more like Dom Deloise and Burt Reynolds in Cannonball run, racing across the country in a hot car filled with funny shaped boxes that just scream "search me officer" , on a good note, Ian had a really nice stereo installed and the car detailed so as not to smell like a dog, we might be breaking the law, but at least we are doing it soccer mom style, which I hear is all the rage in Illinois prisons right now.
