Good Morning, I Mean Afternoon
In my eyes a good morning consists of waking up, that's important I hear,
but after that, having time to get my head working, by drinking coffee,
going to
get food, (Vietnamese preferably), more coffee, and checking email via
the great glory of High Speed Internet (wireless preferably) you would
think that this
would be an easy thing to accomplish, but you would be wrong, for our
days are generally defined by the space between two cities, not by the
shows
that
happen
in them, short drive good day, long drive, well, I can't say bad, because
I am attempting to exercise what my Mom refers to as PMA or Positive
Mental Attitude,
I am sure I could put a few other translations of that acronym but I
won't. So here I am typing away at the Red
Cup in Oklahoma City, we played
The
Blue Door last night and had an incredibly good time, highlights of
the evening were grown adults demonstrating how a dog scratches its ass
on asphalt,
swimming
on asphalt,
and Ian playing fashion photographer, oh and the show was good too. I
bought a bass drum yesterday before the show, not a plain ol bass drum
but a huge
marching bass drum, after some tweaking and tuning and stuff got it sounding
like something
you would hear on a viking ship while you were shackled and rowing, Ian
plays it during the show, how fitting. The funny thing about the kick drum
is that
we already have one in our Grandpa Mobil, I know about now you are thinking
what's a Grandpa Mobil? Well it just so happens to be a 2003 Buick century
that we rented
in Denver since we both flew in to start this tour and our van is caput,
so now it has two kick drums 3 guitars and a bunch of random electronic/acoustic
noise
makers, yeah that's right move over meatallica here comes Ian and Chris'
Tard and tongue show. So if you are out and about come out and see us,
because we
are cooler than snot.
